National Student Survey

We've been voted the top university in England to study primary initial teacher education from the National Student Survey.

The National Student Survey gives our final year students the opportunity to feedback on aspects about the university and their course. This year our students voted us the top university in England for primary initial teacher education with 97% overall student satisfaction. Our students voted on seven different aspects of the course:

  • Teaching - we're great at explaining things for you and making the subject interesting. We're enthusiastic about what we're teaching and you'll find the course intellectually stimulating.
  • Assessment and feedback - we're clear in what we want from you and give you prompt and detailed feedback on the coursework you submit.
  • Academic support - our doors are always open. We're here to support and advise you throughout your studies whenever you need us.
  • Organisation and management - our classes are scheduled for your convenience and enable you to be efficient and organised, and we pride ourselves on running a well organised course.
  • Learning resources - our library is well stocked and provides all the books, services and reference materials you need. We have plenty of computers and specialised equipment for you to access when you need to.
  • Personal development - the course will help you to present yourself with confidence, improve your communication skills and give you the confidence to tackle unfamiliar problems.
  • Overall satisfaction - our students are really satisfied with the quality of the course!
