Research has demonstrated that two things have the largest influence on results; great teaching and great leadership! Pressure on senior staff to deliver to tight targets is generating a significant skills shortage and has resulted in a narrow field when filling Headships across the sector. There are many highly skilled and talented middle leaders who have the skills and the ability to move into these roles where they can support the education system they value and facilitate better outcomes for our young people.
Stepping Up to Senior Leadership offers the chance for middle leaders to consider which skills they need to make the move into senior leadership, what support they would need, and how to feel confident about taking the next step.
