EYPS Celebration Event
Friday 3 August 2012
Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) is the gold standard for those working with children under the age of five. This is a nationally recognised status. Our largest cohort to date of 76 successful workers have trained for up to 15 months at the University of Derby, to be recognised as Early Years Professionals - a graduate-level status. They work in a range of early years settings across Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, Leicestershire, and Staffordshire. These inspiring individuals - who work in nurseries, pre-schools and daycare centres - are experts in leading the development of the under 5s through play and ensuring each child is nurtured appropriately during those crucial first years.
On Friday 3 August, the successful candidates celebrated achieving Early Years Professional Status at a ceremony, joined by Chris Warren: Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Education, Health and Sciences. The event had Darrell Woodman, from the Art of Brilliance as our keynote speaker. Darrell spearheads the delivery of 'The Art of Being Brilliant' in schools. Darrell delivers corporate keynotes and workshops based around the themes of positivity, happiness, wellbeing and flourishing. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as well as our core values of simplicity, energy and fun. Darrell is a Certified NLP Practitioner and NLP Coach.
