MA Education NQT Module

Three students

(20 Masters credits)

This NQT module has been included within the MA Education programme to provide for areas of the educational profession that do not fall within the knowledge content of the other elective modules.  In negotiation with the Programme Leader, students identify a programme of study which will specifically meet their own and their educational professional needs, in terms of learning objectives consistent with the MA Education programme. 2.5 hours per student of tutorial time is allocated for supervision.

Outcomes

On successful completion of this module, students will be able to provide appropriate evidence that the negotiated study contributes to two identified programme learning outcomes, in line with the expectations of other modules. These will be agreed as a part of the initial module tutorial.

This module will allow you to gain 20 credits towards an MA in Education.

Teaching and Learning

You’ll learn through individual supervision, scheduled teaching and learning activities, and guided independent study.

Assessment

This will be negotiated between the supervisor and the student in line with MA Education norms, but takes the form of either an academic poster, a portfolio of evidence, presentation to peers, or a workshop.
