The Arts in Society, Therapy and Education (TASTE)

This research cluster intends to explore interdisciplinary uses of the arts in education and society, and to provide a cross-faculty meeting point for staff members interested in the arts and in an exploration of visual culture.
The research interests of the cluster are:
- Visual culture
- Visual sociology
- Visual anthropology
- The use of the arts to enhance wellbeing
- The arts and health movement
- Arts therapies
- Artists in schools
- The arts as a support tool
- Specialist uses of the arts in schools to gain a better understanding of pupil responses and attitudes
- Visual cultural history
