Becoming a Teacher Research Associate
Teachers in schools and colleges, as well as educationalists working in advisory services may become Teacher Research Associates of the Centre for Educational Research (CER) in the School of Education and Social Science here at the University of Derby.
Teacher Research Associates have several benefits including:
- the authority to use their associate status on their CVs and personal publicity.
- the opportunity to undertake paid doctoral supervision and other teaching as appropriate.
- participation in research clusters and projects.
- by attending our annual associates meeting, they will be able to make a contribution to the future strategic development of the Centre and its research activities.
- as a Teacher Research Associate you will be kept up to date with new developments in the research centre.
To become an associate you will need to fill in our online form, so that your details can be put on the CER web pages.
Please note that there is an initial registration fee of £15 for individuals.
We hope you will see the benefits of becoming a member of the Centre and look forward to meeting you again in the near future.
This initiative is supported by the Education Improvement Service of Derbyshire County Council.
