Thunderdome 2014

Headteacher of Derby school

Explore the inner depths of 21st century teaching

As part of our Saturday 11 October open day, we’ll be holding Thunderdome, an event which celebrates adventure.

The open day will showcase a range of adventure sports, including mountain biking, alpine skills, high lining and slack lining, which you'll be able to have a go at yourself. You'll also be able to find out more about the great courses we offer at our Buxton campus, as well as enjoying taster sessions of culinary arts, sports massages, spa treatments and martial arts.

The star attraction of the event is what promises to be an amazing dry tooling competition, which is open to professional climbers. Andy Turner, Manager and Climber for the GB Ice Climbing Team has devised the course and will be competing on the day.
