Early Childhood Studies
Discover Early Childhood Studies
We know that young minds crave imaginative education. Our BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies course will equip you with the skills to deliver creative learning to the 0-8 age range. You’ll gain a strong understanding of early childhood by exploring how children develop, learn, and think.
If you want to lead the Foundation Curriculum, you can study BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies with Early Years Teacher Status, which will give you the professional status of EYTS alongside your undergraduate degree.
Early Childhood Studies gives you the opportunity to:
- gain valuable real world experience by undertaking a placement for two days each week
- explore the importance of identifying and meeting children’s needs, enabling you to make a real difference to their lives
- apply for a place on an international placement. If you’re selected, you’ll spend four weeks at a school in Milan.
You can also study Early Childhood Studies as a joint honours degree and combine it with another subject.
