Paige's story

I originally wanted to be secondary school sports teacher but after speaking to the Education Studies staff at an Open Day, I started to consider a different path. I decided that the passion I had for Education Studies was something I wanted to pursue further.

Education Studies has been extremely valuable to me - the staff have catered to the needs of myself, and other students, and have offered such flexibility within each of the modules. I am sad to be in my final year, and would encourage anybody wanting to teach to do this course because of the quality delivery, content and contexts Education Studies offers.

I have chosen not to apply for teacher training. Instead, I’d like to find a job within education such as a welfare/wellbeing role, which will enable me to promote inclusivity, support children on a personal level, and provide a school with my passion, personality, and knowledge learned from this course at Derby.
