About this module

This module focuses on the use of reflexivity on prior experiential learning. It is intended for practitioners with a wealth of practice expertise from which they can identify significant learning that has already impacted on policy and/or practice.

The nature of this module is that it is predominantly student centred learning with tutorial support and guidance throughout. There is an initial introductory session that covers the key content and the assessment brief. This includes reflective learning models/frameworks, profile development options with examples of different approaches, current health care policy and practice, clinical and corporate governance, management of change for quality improvement and developing recommendations and dissemination plans.

There is also a consolidation session towards the end of the module to support you with collating all the strands of your work together and planning future actions in practice.

Learning outcomes

You will develop a profile that provides evidence of experiential learning in practice, together with structured reflection and evaluation of that learning.
