Study advisors
Ask for help
Academic work is a challenge, but you won't be the only student to struggle with aspects of work, so don't struggle alone!
Talking to a Study Advisor is free, friendly and confidential.
Coming to university can be daunting, especially if you've been out of education for a while or if you're new to the UK.
We have a team of Study Advisors who are on hand to work with you on a one-to-one basis to help you improve your study skills. It could be anything from preparation, reading, writing essays and communicating visually to strategies for examinations and assessments and confidence with IT.
Who can use the scheme?
Any of our undergraduate or postgraduate students.
What will happen?
When you meet with a Study Advisor for the first time, you'll decide what you want to address during the sessions. You can arrange to meet your Study Advisor for up to a maximum of 8 hours.
