Sytoc is a research group focusing on the service sector in both public and private organisations. We conduct national and international research projects in systems thinking and organisational change.
What is 'systems thinking'?
It's an innovative approach to help organisations work efficiently and effectively, and to start understanding the complex world of systems.
Research
The focus is on key areas that make a difference to both academics and practitioners in the service industry, and offering an incubation area for PhD students.
- PhD students and researchers can disseminate best practice as a result of their research
- The research group contributes to the knowledge of systems thinking and organisational change for the service sector through publications, seminars and conferences.
Consultancy
We help organisations to successfully implement change management programmes, radically transforming areas that are underperforming through training, facilitation and research.
Education
We offer various systems thinking and organisational change programmes for managers at all levels.
- Systems thinking in service organisations - a three day course
- Seminars with leading speakers on systems thinking and organisational change, promoting Sytoc's research and enabling collaboration with like-minded professionals and academics from around the country. The seminars also stimulate areas for potential development and pass on best practice.
Events
The SYTOC group regularly holds events throughout the year. Watch highlights of the SYTOC workshop held on 18 May 2011.
