It is important in any career to understand and work well with other people, whether it's your line manager, subordinates, suppliers, partners or facilitators.
The two day residential provides you with the right skills to develop strong working relationships with your colleagues. It takes place at the beginning of your MBA and combines fun, learning and development in a challenging and stimulating environment. Our online students are also invited along to this event.
You'll get to know the people on your course and the lecturers you'll be working with. The friendships you develop here will stay with you well beyond your graduation.

Throughout the residential, you'll be split into teams to take part in a whole range of activities that test and develop key skills vital for a successful career in any organisation.

Scalford Hall
The residential takes place at Scalford Hall - a picturesque Edwardian Country Mansion set in the rolling countryside of Leicestershire.
Its history includes being a weekend hunting lodge for Major Mann Thomson at the turn of the century, to its purchase post World War II by Colonel Colman (founder of Colman's Mustard). During his ownership, Edward and Mrs Simpson visited the hall regularly - a staircase still exists that was specially built for the lovers to visit each other as and when they pleased, as does an ornate fireplace in the main reception area, which was a gift to Colman from the King of England.
