If you already hold an ACCA, CIMA, ICS, ABE/ABP, CMI (Level 7)or Edexcel (Level 7) qualification, you can take a professional top-up course that is a fast track to the full MBA.
The MBA in-company
We can also run the MBA specifically for a group of students from the same company - either in the workplace, at the University, or another venue chosen by the company.
The advantage of this approach is that every minute of the time spent in class is totally relevant to the students and their employer - all learning can be immediately discussed and applied back to their organisation.

Part time
There is no denying that balancing a qualification as demanding as the MBA alongside a busy personal and professional life is challenging. But each year 57% of our students at Derby achieve this and we are experienced and well-placed to help you through it.
Key features of part time study:
- Study part time over three years.
- Choose class times that fit in with you: either one afternoon and one evening each week, or two evenings.
- Receive support from a personal tutor.
- Each year is a qualification in its own right (PG Cert, PG Dip then the full MBA), so you don't have to wait until the end of stage three before you benefit.
- Spread out the cost of the MBA - pay for each year in four instalments.
- Apply what you learn to your role straight away, for immediate business impact.
Full time study
Studying full time is a rich experience, and you will certainly have a lot of new information to absorb in a year!
But it means you can benefit from a lot of interaction with other students, make the most of our on-campus facilities such as our newly refurbished library, and just knock on the tutor's door when you need their help.
