Why I chose Business
I chose to study business as I wanted to broaden my understanding of the business world. I feel the course has fully prepared me for the working world, especially my placement year.
My placement
The Faculty Placement Officer supported me in finding a job and improving my CV. My placement has helped me with my degree as I have learned the vital skills and knowledge that will help me when I come to continue my studies. I have learned so much in just a few months and the transferable skills I have gained will be relevant when I graduate and start my career.
I work on international recruitment, so I deal with all the prospectus orders and I'm currently building an international family programme. I also build web pages, both for students and corporate partnerships. I would definitely recommend taking a placement year as the experience has been invaluable.
My future
My degree has given me the knowledge needed to fulfil my role. Once my placement is complete and I go back to studying, the experience I have gained within my placement will be a huge help when I start my final year studies.
