Hosted by the Marketing group and presented by Dr. Fiona Ellis-Chadwick, who was one of the consultants behind the recent BBC series 'Liquid Gold'.

About the event

Fiona highlighted some of the issues, challenges and value-adding opportunities facing organisations that aim to develop basic commodities, such as water and cereals, into global brands.

This event was also broadcasted to our partner institution in Botswana.

About Dr. Fiona Ellis Chadwick

Fiona's main research activities focus on projects exploring the application and development of online retailing and e-marketing.

She had a successful commercial career in retail management before becoming an academic in 1998 and has written papers on the factors affecting the uptake of online retailing and e-commerce strategy development, which have been published in national and international journals.

Fiona was an academic advisor for the landmark series by the BBC's money programme looking at the impact of the virtual revolution on business and society.
