About the course
The HNC is designed to develop your management potential. The subjects you'll cover are broadly based and relevant to the practical business world. You'll be introduced to key business skills, covering relevant and current business and management issues.
The course covers a broad range of business and management modules from marketing to economics and human resource management. This all means that you have a wealth of knowledge to take in to your employment. Or you can carry on and top up your HNC to an HND.
All modules have a variety of assessment methods which includes coursework and exams. Most are built around practical business scenarios, so you're applying your learning to real situations. If you're working while studying you can apply your assessments to your organisation, so you're making a real and immediate impact on the business you work for.
You can choose to study either on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6 - 9pm, or on Thursdays from 2pm to 9pm.
Your career
- The subjects you cover on the HNC enable you to pursue either a specialist career or one in general management.
You can progress on to the HND once you've completed the HNC. And from there you can go on to top up to a full honours degree.
