It's been hard work, but there's a great sense of support and I've made some fantastic friends too.

Business courses are an excellent way for you to develop wide-ranging skills and equip yourself for a variety of career paths.

All of our business courses are designed with local and national employers, and have been rated 'excellent' by quality inspectors.

A course to suit you

Whatever your interest - from Accounting to Human Resource Management, from Marketing to Management - at The Derbyshire Business School we'll be able to help you find the best course for you.

Employable graduates

Our undergraduate courses are all designed with your employability in mind.

In your first year you'll be introduced to general business concepts. Your second and third years will develop your knowledge moving towards a strategic level in your final year.

All subjects are integrated, so you're not only learning about individual subject areas, you're seeing how they relate to one another in a real business environment.

Real work experience

You can choose to take a placement in your third year.  Get a years experience in industry which looks great on your cv, and which puts you ahead in the job market.  And you'll earn a wage for a year!

Your professional development

We've got part time business courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, so you can combine studying with work to develop your career and make an immediate impact on your organisation.

We're an accredited study centre for ACCA, CIMA, CIPS, CIM, CIPD and ILM courses.  All are available part time.

Studying at masters level

Our management masters courses, and the MBA, at Derby are held in high regard by our students and business alike. As part of your masters course you'll go on a residential weekend at the start of your study. This is excellent fun and a great way to get to know everybody else and the lecturers on your course!

International students

If you're an international student, see more information on how we help and support you.
