Learning Beyond Registration
Learning Beyond Registration (LBR) is a vital part of developing competent, capable health service practitioners prepared to deliver a dynamic, flexible, quality, client-focused service. If you're employed by the NHS in the East Midlands then you may be eligible for fee-free access to our LBR modules and/or programmes. You'll need to supply evidence of approval from your line manager and Trust Education Lead when you apply.
About this module
It is important for you to continue to develop your knowledge, understanding and self-reflection of psychotherapeutic theories in relation to the Transtheoretical Model.
This module will enable you to continue to critically discuss and examine the main psychotherapeutic theories in relation to clinical practice. A critical examination of the principles of research methods and methodologies will be introduced to consider epistemologies supporting counselling and psychotherapeutic principles.
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the module, you will be able to:
- Critically discuss your practice in relation to the three psychotherapeutic theories and the TTM
- Critically examine research methodologies and methods in relation to psychotherapeutic theory and practice
- Critically consider the value of self-reflection and power within the counselling relationship.
