About this course

The MSc Supply Chain Improvement course is a new programme giving students the opportunity to gain new knowledge to help them to develop and improve supply chain operations and logistics functions within organisations.

This is an applied programme for managers working, or aspiring to work, in a supply chain role and will provide an in-depth understanding of strategy and the design of modern supply chain and logistics operations.

Entry requirements

Students will normally hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline at the 2:2 level or above, or an international or professional programme equivalent (eg CIPS or CILT level 6) qualification.

Applicants with a lower classification qualification may still be considered for entry to the programme where they can demonstrate a relevant level of work experience and or knowledge to work at the required level. All applicants must have a minimum of three years' of work experience in a management or supervisory position, supported by employer's references.

How you will learn

The focus is on developing your analytical skills and evaluating your organisation’s practices. You will also apply learnt methods and techniques to your organisation.

Students will also be given specific tasks to carry out within their organisations, inbetween the taught sessions. The programme teaching draws from significant sector and subject experience and will be supported by current practitioners in significant roles.

Assessment methods include work-based tasks, research projects, work-based reports, case study analysis and reflective management reports.
