What is Joint Honours?

Biology

The dynamic and exciting nature of Biology is reflected in our modules, many of which are supported by active research and visiting specialists, providing you with up-to-the-minute information of key topics. Three broad themes have been  identified: Whole Organism, Molecular and Cellular and Environmental/Ecological Biology, each reinforcing the concepts and skills of a professional biologist.

Psychology

You can choose to study psychology as a major, joint or minor subject as part of your joint honours degree. Your decision will determine how many psychology modules you'll study.

During the course you'll gain a detailed understanding of the different areas of psychology including developmental, social, biological, cognitive and health psychology. You can look at the applications of psychology to a wide range of areas, from understanding the nature and causes of mental health problems to investigating decision-making in real-life situations.
