BSc (Hons) in Biology and Human Resource Management

What is Joint Honours?

With joint honours, you can study for an honours degree in two or even three subjects. Find out more about joint honours.

Biology

The dynamic and exciting nature of Biology is reflected in our modules, many of which are supported by active research and visiting specialists, providing you with up-to-the-minute information of key topics. Three broad themes have been  identified: Whole Organism, Molecular and Cellular and Environmental/Ecological Biology, each reinforcing the concepts and skills of a professional biologist.

Human Resource Management

You can combine HR with another subject and study it as a major, joint or minor pathway, which means that you can choose the amount of HR modules you want to take in your degree.

The first stage will introduce you to business and HR. The second stage develops an understanding of the policies, procedures and practices of HR. You can choose to take a placement year as your third year, or move straight to the final stage where you'll be looking at HR strategies and how these link in to the overall organisation and business strategies.
