The dynamic and exciting nature of Biology is reflected in our modules, many of which are supported by active research and visiting specialists, providing you with up-to-the-minute information of key topics. Three broad themes have been  identified: Whole Organism, Molecular and Cellular and Environmental/Ecological Biology, each reinforcing the concepts and skills of a professional biologist.

Environmental Hazards

Environmental hazards is the study of natural and man-made hazards that affect Earth, such as earthquakes and volcanoes. You'll cover areas including the Earth's surface and climatic hazards, hazard management and develop the knowledge in aspects of geographical, earth and environmental sciences.

During this course you'll specialise in areas of natural and man-made hazards, earth surface and climatic hazards, and hazard management. And you'll develop a strong background in aspects of the geographical, earth and environmental sciences that are essential to the study of hazards.
