BA (Hons) in Human Resource Management and Law

What is Joint Honours?

With joint honours, you can study for an honours degree in two or even three subjects. Find out more about joint honours.

Human Resource Management

You can combine HR with another subject and study it as a major, joint or minor pathway, which means that you can choose the amount of HR modules you want to take in your degree.

The first stage will introduce you to business and HR. The second stage develops an understanding of the policies, procedures and practices of HR. You can choose to take a placement year as your third year, or move straight to the final stage where you'll be looking at HR strategies and how these link in to the overall organisation and business strategies.

Law

There is a wide range of exciting and interesting law options for you to choose from depending on your interest in either private or public law, allowing you flexibility in selecting options which compliment the other subjects you will study alongside Law.

For example, if you are studying Law and Criminology you may wish to study choose Criminal Law, Law of Evidence and Police Powers and the Law, for those with and interest in crime. If you're studying Law and Business you may wish to select Contract Law, Commercial Law, Consumer Law, or Corporate Law.  You also have the invaluable opportunity of developing your particular interests by studying a subject of your choice in more depth as part of your Independent Studies in your final year.
