Early Childhood Studies (0-8 years)

This course will enable you to develop your understanding of early childhood from birth to eight years old, discovering how children develop, learn and think. You'll explore the importance of meeting children's needs and how these needs can be met. You'll consider the challenges and opportunities in children's services, and look at childhood from a range of perspectives. We'll encourage you to use your own experiences in early years to enhance your knowledge and develop your understanding of early childhood.

Creative Writing

This Joint Honours course degree offers you the opportunity to learn from award winning internationally respected novelists, short story writers, poets, songwriters and performers, scriptwriters, editors, publishers, and new media writers. You'll mainly focus on practical work, utilising key examples from the greatest writers to inform your work. The sessions are run by enthusiastic writers in supportive relatively small groups. Through a combination of creative workshops, seminars and tutorials, you will be able to gain skills and confidence.
