American Studies and Property Development
What is Joint Honours?
A Joint Honours degree gives you the opportunity to study two subjects as one degree. This type of degree will broaden your skill set and enhance your career prospects. You can combine any two subjects as long as they’re in different zones, find out what you can combine this subject with.
American Studies will help you deepen your understanding and knowledge of the culture, history and society of the USA while providing a range of skills crucial to success, both in university and in the world of work. We'll create a friendly and supportive academic culture in which our enthusiasm, knowledge and active involvement with the subject as teachers and researchers foster an awareness of various issues - such as ethnicity, identity, class, gender, representation and power - that are relevant to both the study of America and your own wider experience of life.
Today's property market is huge, and the need for people to manage increasingly high value and diverse property portfolios continues to grow. Property development covers everything from renovating a small house to multi-million pound development schemes and we've developed this course to reflect this.
A joint honours degree is flexible, so you can tailor your course to your own interests. You'll focus on the knowledge and skills you'll need to get a job in property development in the UK or overseas when you graduate.
