American Studies
American Studies will help you deepen your understanding and knowledge of the culture, history and society of the USA while providing a range of skills crucial to success, both in university and in the world of work. We'll create a friendly and supportive academic culture in which our enthusiasm, knowledge and active involvement with the subject as teachers and researchers foster an awareness of various issues - such as ethnicity, identity, class, gender, representation and power - that are relevant to both the study of America and your own wider experience of life.

Law
There is a wide range of exciting and interesting law options for you to choose from depending on your interest in either private or public law, allowing you flexibility in selecting options which compliment the other subjects you will study alongside Law.
For example, if you are studying Law and Criminology you may wish to study choose Criminal Law, Law of Evidence and Police Powers and the Law, for those with and interest in crime. If you're studying Law and Business you may wish to select Contract Law, Commercial Law, Consumer Law, or Corporate Law. You also have the invaluable opportunity of developing your particular interests by studying a subject of your choice in more depth as part of your Independent Studies in your final year.
