About this course
This top up degree is a great way to build on and develop the knowledge you've already gained on your HND or Foundation degree. You'll develop wide ranging skills and be ready for a variety of career paths, which all means you'll be highly employable when you graduate.
You'll start to develop your strategic knowledge and you'll have true flexibility through option choices. You can really play to your strengths and develop your expertise in areas where you see your career developing. You can choose from a wide range of optional modules, including marketing and PR, people management, economics and information systems.
You'll take the core module Issues in Global Business Consultancy which is a case study of current issues, such as the collapse of Lehman Brothers. It takes a discussion approach and is very practical. You'll be looking at where things went wrong, what could have been done, what would you have done?
Throughout the course you'll be using current case studies and examples, and will also benefit from guest lectures from industry speakers.
We'll also prepare you for the workplace. You won't only learn about business but we'll teach you, and develop in you, the skills employers are looking for in their graduate employees. This ranges from report writing and analysing market and financial data through to presentation skills.

What our students say
"I work as a sales manager and the research I did for my dissertation proved very valuable in my day to day work. I found the lecturers to be very helpful and encouraging, especially towards 'mature' students who had been out of higher education."
