About this course

The BA Hons in Banking and Finance Top Up builds upon previously acquired business knowledge and skills and focuses on the complexity of the global economic environment of banking and finance practices.

By studying this program you will:

  • Gain practical skills and knowledge, which will make them employable in international and finance related companies, as well as general business.
  • Have the ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of the workings of financial markets and institutions
  • Develop a well informed international financial background and understanding of current international financial events.
  • Train in a range of departments in international financial companies, including investment, insurance, and banking as well as in the financial departments of corporations.

Entry requirements

You need to have an HND or foundation degree in a relevant subject. 

When you apply, please send us a transcript of the modules you've already studied so that we can make sure that your HND or foundation degree is compatible with the top up programme.

Fees and finance

If you completed your foundation degree, DipHE, CertHE or HND in the 2011/12 academic year

You'll pay fees and receive funding under the existing fees system rather than the new 2012 system. You must continue studying in the same way ie if you were studying full time you must take this course as a full time course.

UK/EU students

  • Full time: £3,465 (in total)

International students

  • Full time: £9,700 (in total)

If you completed your course in the 2010/11 academic year or earlier

You'll pay 2012/13 fees and receive the new student financial support.

This is a classroom based course.
