About the course

This course will help your employees prepare for the transition to mobile working. Whilst using the course framework, we will work in partnership with you to develop the content so that it is contextualised to your area and to addresses your specific requirements.

It will develop skills, confidence and understanding so each employee is better prepared for a new way of working. They'll engage in self-analysis and personal reflection to explore and identify areas for personal development, and they'll be introduced to the tools and techniques required to support themsleves during the transition to the 'new way' of working.

The course consists of two modules:

Personal Development Planning (20 credits)

Delegates begin with an introduction to the course which provides an overview of the learning resources and support available, and begins the self analysis and reflection for the personal development planning module.

Theories, models, tools and techniques are discussed throughout the course in a series of discrete pieces of learning and assessment that are built in to a portfolio. The activities encourage the application of theories in practice, using work based case studies and examples in order to identify personal development needs.

Tools and Techniques for Working in Virtual Teams (20 credits)

Delegates are introduced to the concepts and challenges of working in a mobile workforce, offering tools and techniques in a series of activities which are applied in the workplace, reflecting on their usefulness in managing thier personal and professional transition to a new way of working. The key focus is the development of trust within and beyond the virtual team.
