The challenge
FieldStar is the UK's only professional network for field marketing, mystery shoppers, experiential and promotional field staff. Despite the industry employing around 80,000 people, before FieldStar there haven't been any recognised qualifications for professional development available to staff.
One of FieldStar's aims is to professionalise the industry through providing and promoting training and development opportunities which deliver a return on investment. Though the organisation has run its own training courses in the past, these have been short programmes which haven't attracted accreditation for learners.
The solution
We created the field marketing industry's first University Certificate in Face to Face Marketing. To really boost FieldStar's training provision, we developed and accredited the academic based programme to reflect industry best practice to help professionalise the industry.
We took the existing training provision, reviewed it to ensure it would present students with sufficient academic work and accredited it so that on successful completion of the course, delegates would achieve a university level, credit bearing award.
The nationwide reach of FieldStar meant that this programme had to be developed for delivery across the UK. Alongside developing the course, we created a dedicated online learning platform which enabled delegates to work online, whenever and wherever they were able to. All delegates have full access to tutors throughout the course who support them on their learning journey.
