UDC staff member joins industry journal editorial panel
23 July 2012
Ann Minton, Workforce Development Fellow and a key member of our academic staff here at UDC, has been invited to join the editorial board for an academic, peer reviewed journal, Higher Education, Skills and Work-based Learning (HESWBL). She'll be involved in commissioning, reviewing and selecting articles, as well as looking at research taking place in the industry to provide editorial comments.
The HESWBL journal focuses on the interface between higher education and the workplace. With its foundations in the University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC), it demonstrates a strong and independent rooting in both the higher education and further education sectors.
Ann commented, "being asked to join the editorial board for this key academic journal makes me feel very privileged and reflects the standing that the university has within the sector and our excellent reputation in work based learning. Publications like the Higher Education, Skills and Work-based Learning Journal are of paramount importance to promote ongoing research and enquiry to develop and enhance understanding of the potential for work based learning to be mutually beneficial to employers, universities and above all the learners."
