UDC Deliver Events Training To Council Cohort

20 November 2012

The work of the Business Development team continues to expand outside of the region, most recently to East Anglia, where the team delivered a three day Events Safety Management course to staff at the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk.

Centre for Events Professional Development

The programme, which is a stand-alone qualification, has been taken by many professionals in the industry and can lead to the award of a Diploma in Events Safety Management. UDC tailored the module by basing case studies, work-based projects and assessments around previous events that the council had run.

David Clack, Safety and Welfare Adviser for the Borough Council and the organiser for this training said: "As both the organiser and a participant in this training I can attest to the quality of the training and the real value that this will have for the participants and consequently the public attending our events."

Andy Dowling, Business Development Manager at UDC, added: "The Borough Council have sent delegates on our open programmes previously and selected UDC as they knew we could tailor their work-based projects on the live events that they are running in real time. This guaranteed the learning would be embedded into their everyday job roles."
