Business Awards Nomination for University's Corporate Arm
The University's business-to-business arm, University of Derby Corporate (UDC), is one of the finalists in a prestigious regional business awards.
UDC has been shortlisted in the Midlands Business Awards 2012, in the category of 'Midlands Enterprising University of the Year'. Fellow finalists in the category are the universities of Birmingham, Aston, Leicester and Northampton.
Now in their sixth year the annual Midlands Business Awards celebrate the best of the region's business spirit. For the 2012 event its nine award categories cover areas including networking, innovation and entrepreneurship.
UDC, launched by the University three years ago, September 2008, is the University of Derby's corporate training and development division; providing accreditation of company's in-house training, work-based courses, and staging business and networking events. Its clients have included events management company Showsec, exclusive travel provider Page & Moy, Futures Housing Group and JCB.

The Midlands Business Awards 2012 finalists' dinner and dance will be held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, Birmingham, on Friday February 3, 2012.
