About the course
This course has been specifically designed to meet the needs of managers whose teams are in a period of transition towards mobile working. Whilst using the course framework, we will work in partnership with you to develop the content so that it is contextualised to your area and addresses your specific requirements.
It will provide your managers with the tools and techniques required to manage a mobile workforce and coach virtual teams, so that they are better able to deal with, and support others in the transition to 'new ways' of working.
Managers will also be taken on a learning journey, engaging in self analysis and personal reflection to explore and identify areas for personal development.
The course consists of three modules:
The Developing Professional (20 credits)
This module develops each delegate's ability as a refelctive practitioner so that they can identify their strengths and weaknesses and areas for development. They will not only consider the benefits to themselves, but also the impact and value this brings to their team and their organisation.
Tools and Techniques for Managing and Working in Virtual Teams (20 credits)
This module introduces the concepts of managing a mobile workforce, offering tools and techniques in a series of activities to be applied in the workplace, reflecting on their usefulness in managing the transition to a new way of working.
Work Based Review (20 credits)
Drawing on their own area of expertise, delegates will identify an organisational issue and, utilising current academic and professional thinking, will present a solution in a coherent manner, drawing conclusions from their reading and personal analysis. How you'll learn
