Martin is now responsible for Showsec's Wales and South West region, an area with a £1 million turnover which includes the Motorpoint Arena Cardiff, Cardiff University Student Union and Cardiff City Council.
How you'll learn
You'll study through a combination of one workshop per module - three days for Manager to Leader and Access and Egress, all others two days - and online.
Workshops take place at University of Derby Enterprise Centre in Derby (DE1 3LD) or at Showsec head office in Leicester (LE1 7NA) and incorporate lectures, tutorials and student-centred learning. The lectures introduce concepts and frameworks which are developed further during tutorials, through group work and case studies.
You will also work on your own outside of the sessions using our dedicated online learning environment. Your personal tutor will support and guide you throughout the programme; either online, at meetings when you're at your face-to-face sessions, or by telephone - whenever you need them.
How you're assessed
There are various assessment methods used throughout the programme including work based projects and crowd/event safety plans. All demonstrate how you practically apply concepts to your area of work and offer opportunities to meet specific organisational objectives.
