About the course
The Professional Certificate in Marketing gives you the practical skills and knowledge to devise and execute tactical marketing activities and gain marketing credibility. It provides you with the foundations upon which effective marketing strategy and execution are developed and implemented.
The CIM's professional qualifications have been designed to deliver a number of key benefits to marketers and employers. Based on the CIM Professional Marketing Standards, the syllabus introduces fresh content, reflects the latest trends and innovations in marketing and places a strong emphasis on the application, as well as the acquisition of knowledge and skills.
The qualifications are set in a local context within global markets. There's something for every marketer; whether you're working for a multinational corporation, an exporter or importer, or a smaller organisation.
It's a requirement of the CIM that you register as a student member. This entitles you to the same benefits as a full member.
Who is it for?
This qualification is aimed at those who are working in supporting marketing roles, usually within the marketing function, but also targets individuals in more senior roles, particularly in SMEs, where marketing is only part of what they do. The qualification provides a practical insight into the principles and application of marketing at a tactical level.
