Phil Hope the Minister for the East Midlands visited the University of Derby to see how it is meeting the challenges of the current economic recession. Mr Hope is responsible for steering the regional political agenda at Westminster and he was keen to see how the University is helping graduates and the wider community in the current climate.
He met our Senior Management including Vice-Chancellor Professor John Coyne, saw the latest developments in our Computer Games Suite and discussed the career advice that graduates and local businesses are receiving from our Career Development Centre at the University.
