University Law lecturers staged their own 'criminal acts' to create a gritty murder-mystery film for students (trailer above).
Lecturers Mick King, Angie Neville, Sam King and Dr David Walsh took part in a short film, shot by University film-maker Matt Howcroft, about a woman's fictional murder; complete with multiple angles to represent different witness and suspect viewpoints.
More than 80 Applied Criminology degree students were then given two days to identify the murderer; by using the film, evidence collected at the 'crime scene' (really the University's new 58-acre Oaklands Manor Outdoor Leadership Centre in Buxton) and interviews with lecturers, in their respective character roles.
