The estate we’re in – facilities management for the 21st century: Professor Michael Okoroh

Professor Okoroh highlights research he has carried out with doctorate students at Derby such as Yuge Hu, who has investigated airport security at Xianyang International Airport, and identified areas which could have been improved, such as improving electronic scanning equipment to speed up arrival and departures, as well as changes to the layout of the airport and streamlining IT facilities.

Professor Okoroh has been at the University of Derby for 15 years, previously working at Loughborough University, University College, London, and South Bank University. He studied for his degree and masters at Heriot-Watt University, in Edinburgh, and for his PhD at Loughborough University.
