Professor Paul Gilbert gives a talk to mark the the launch of his new book.

This talk explores how our brain evolved to be highly attuned to threats. He explores how we have also evolved to be very sensitive and responsive to kindness and compassion, exploring how these offer powerful antidotes for threat emotions such as anxiety, anger and depression.

Professor Gilbert outlined some of his own research and the outline of his new book.
