What would you do in a second life? Derby psychologist Simon Bignell has joined the virtual reality software platform Second Life, with his avatar, Milton Broome, to carry out psychological research generating international media interest, including BBC TV, ITN and CNN in America. His research is investigating how people with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome use virtual worlds to overcome their considerable communication difficulties.
