Professor Paul Gilbert is based at the Mental Health Research Unit, at Kingsway Hospital. His work on the pioneering therapeutic technique called Compassionate Mind Training (CMT) teaches participants to develop strategies to treat themselves in a compassionate way. He has appeared on numerous national news programmes including Newsnight, and also in national press including The Times.
