Case Study

Roger and colleague Dr Dorothy Satterfield took advantage of one of the biggest geological events in the UK - the 2008 earthquake with its epicentre in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, to advance their understanding of the subject. They received hundreds of replies from the public after setting up a web page seeking people's experience of the earthquake, which measured 5.2 on the Richter Scale. The data collected is being used in a studentproject. A flurry of media activity resulted from their work.
