What can Pete talk about?

Pete can talk about applied sport and exercise science in terms of both sports performance and exercise for health.

Case Study

Pete is an exercise physiologist. His PhD investigated blood coagulation and lipids levels in response to exercise and cardiovascular drugs. He has diverse research interests including pain and the hypoalgesic (pain reducing) effect of exercise, the role of exercise in obesity treatment and thermoregulation and hydration in hot environments.

Pete has worked extensively in sport science support for athletes including England teams (rugby, hockey and netball) prior to European and World Championships, professional football and rugby teams and several International triathletes. His applied environmental physiology work has been publicised in national broadsheet newspapers and featured on BBC television and radio.
