The Sun And The Crowds Come Out For Family Fun Day

The University welcomed more than 2,000 people to its Kedleston Road site on Sunday May 5 for its Free Family Fun Day.

Families joined mascots Freddie the Falcon and Rammie the Ram on a host of free activities including a climbing wall, crazy golf and traditional sports day games, as well as enjoying interactions with meerkats, parrots and even skunks!

Students and the University Students' Union's Athletics Union put youngsters through their paces on a variety of sports, and Producer of BBC StarGazing Live, Mark Thompson, delighted crowds with a talk about the fascinating TV series.
