Do you want to get your ideal job after graduation or for your placement year? Then come along and to find out what it takes to land that perfect job. Hosted by the Faculty of Business, Computing and Law and presented by leading coach and trainer Jay Hensman.

The event is free and open to any student in the Faculty of Business, Computing and Law. This event is ideal for anyone looking for a placement position or preparing for life after university. All you have to do is book your place on the form below.

The presentation will be about communication, employability and motivation.

Communication

  • Increase your awareness and understanding of people's perceptions - how will this help you secure your ideal job?
  • Learn two nuggets of wisdom that will help you communicate better, forever!

Employability

  • Learn some useful techniques that will help you give the best account of yourself - be able to sell yourself and your skills effectively.
  • Understand your prospective employer's view - would you employ you?

Motivation

  • Identify what motivates you to work towards your ideal career.
  • Explore how to make deliberate decisions and take positive actions to help you achieve your goal.

About Jay Hensman

Jay Hensman has worked as a researcher, civil and structural engineer, business unit manager, divisional director and managing director.  He is a Chartered Engineer and an experienced change management practitioner.  In 2009 he set up Limegreen Solutions which is a consultancy focused on developing effective people and efficient processes.  He specialises in developing effective people and efficient processes through performance coaching and management consultancy. Jay is an NLP Master Practitioner and performance coach.
