The Maths Society
Get in touch
For more information about the society email us at mathsatderby@gmail.com alternatively join our Facebook group.
The maths society is for anyone studying one of our maths courses or for anyone who has an interest in the subject. We provide support for anyone who needs help with maths and organise social events for our members. We share knowledge and work together on mathematical problems and course work.
About the Society
The Maths Society is a great opportunity for students to meet like-minded peers to socialise and study with. Our society is student led and supported by the Students' Union. We have a mixture of first, second and third years, so you can meet and work with students of all ages and levels.
What we do
The society organise guest lectures, maths clinics and social activities. We also work with the lecturers to promote and support the Faculty maths clinics.
What our members say
The maths society is to help and support students at Derby. It's been a great help to everyone. We are growing into a networking tool for members too, with many students graduating and staying in touch. We're always happy to help those struggling, our Facebook group is the ideal place for members to post questions or suggest things we can do. We also organise trips, talks and social events throughout the year, which are a great deal of fun!
