As I continue to progress through my course I'm grateful to each of the lecturers that have helped me during my studies. They're always willing to help me understand concepts and practices, and have always been friendly and available no matter what my query.

Winning the award
This has been of great reward to me and strengthens my belief that, even though there may be other students that are more academically-minded than I may be, perseverance and a willingness to learn will always be of benefit in whatever you choose to do.
Why Derby?
I chose to study at Derby as it offered a great range of computing courses, and also due to the fact that my father and several of my friends had previously studied here. I'd visited the University on many occasions and had the opportunity to meet several of the lecturers who were enthusiastic, and made sure that I got lots of useful knowledge from my visit.

They're always willing to help me understand concepts and practices, and have always been friendly and available no matter what my query. I think this is the best and most valuable part of my course.
Preparation for my career
The University is making sure that we leave fully educated and prepared to gain a career in our chosen field. Throughout my studies there has been a lot of information and guidance relating to the ultimate goal of attaining a career. The workshops, CV guidance and mock interviews have been really useful, and I plan to take up a career in Web Design & Development.
