In 2009 the University teamed up with the Derby West End Bowls Club to help it attract new members. This page is all about this winning partnership and features all the latest news and upcoming events surrounding the club.
About the Derby West End Bowls Club
The club, based on Markeaton Street in the heart of Derby's West End, was formed in 1913 and currently has around 50 members. It has wonderful facilities including two greens, a club room and a bar.

Community Bowls Match Challenge
Two years ago, the club hosted a community bowls competition in partnership with the University. It saw staff and students join community members to take part in an evening of sporting fun.
The event proved a real hit and was repeated in 2010 and again in 2011. It is now an established annual fixture on the Summer calendar!
